Abstract In this paper, new methods for increasing the efficiency of photovoltaic pumping systems are presented (PVPS). A feasible implementation battery-free PVPS, as well a cost-effective design, has been proposed. The variation PV power causes its behaviour to transit permanently between characteristics constant current sources and voltage sources, which is studied in paper from perspective. inconsistency generator reveals an unexpected phenomenon operation induction motors (IM). To overcome effects fluctuating on IM operation, modified fractional order MPPT controller (FO-MPPT) FO-MPPT improved result use several metaheuristics approaches, including Grey Wolf (GWO), Anti-lion (ALO), Whale Optimizer (WOA). comparison proposed conventional techniques carried out. steady-state power, rise time, used three measures demonstrate reliability controller, demonstrating that outperforms traditional techniques. optimal FO-ability MPPT’s regulate nonlinear unpredictable dynamic loads demonstrated.
